Looking back on those times my memory is of so many wonderful fun-filled hours! These old pix show a very limited ski terrain with poor quality snow and only basic grooming -very different from today!
As a family we learned to ski together, mainly by trial and error! With three small children and ourselves all wearing lace-up leather boots, it was a major achievement to make the the rope tow lineup at all! But, as long as the hill was open, we would be there bright and early every Saturday and Sunday morning!
It was truly a red letter morning if we managed to wait out the lift queue long enough for three or four runs before giving in to the inevitable demands for Christmas cake and hot chocolate beside the roaring fire in the tiny chalet!
