From Jean!

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your book on life in Much Wenlock. I also grew up in England, not on a farm, but you remminded me of so many things.

I actualy grew up in Wolverhampton but as both my parents were from Ludlow and all our other families too, Ludlow became my second home. My father was in W’ton due to work.

I came to here (Ontario) in 1946 as a war bride having met my husband at a dance, (I was using a free ticket that night)

Even today I resent that I was never able to buy a pair of ‘Joyce’ shoes at age 17.

Thankyou again for a very good read!
